The Dividing Line Between Good and Evil

The Ten Commandments are the dividing line between good and evil.

The Ten Commandments function as a "to here, and no further".

God knows good and evil, but it is His' Righteousness that stops Him from doing evil.

Our righteousness however is more like a filthy rag.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
- Isaiah 64:6 (KJV)

It's all over the place!

And falls short of the glory of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
- Romans 3:23 (KJV)

God has already achieved perfection, and His standard is high.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
- Matthew 5:48 (KJV)

We are unable to keep God's standard by ourselves. We need help. Big time!

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- Romans 8:14 (KJV)

God leads. We follow.

God's Law then is a safety net that stops us from doing evil.
