Who do You Worship?

God uses some pretty strong language to describe the mark of the beast in the three angels' messages.

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead [thoughts], or in his hand [deeds], the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
- Revelation 14:9-12 (KJV)

We can immediately see that the mark of the beast has to do with worshiping, and the keeping of the Commandments of God.

Christian or not, if you worship the beast, God's wrath is on you.

The Ten Commandments are also kept in the forehead (thoughts), and the hand (deeds).

And thou shalt bind them [Ten Commandments] for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
- Deuteronomy 6:8 (KJV)

The space between your eyes is where the frontal lobe is. All decisions are made there.

A mark can be seen as a sign of who you worship.

Does God have such a sign? Yes He does. (It is sometimes referred to as a seal)

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It [the Sabbath] is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
- Exodus 31:16-17 (KJV)

Is this for Israel only?

No, we are spiritual Israel, and this is a never-ending covenant.

At this point it should be clear that the seal and the mark are both a sign of who you worship. The mark can therefore not be a chip.

Let's have a closer look at what it means to worship.

Worship: the feeling or expression of reverence [deep respect] and adoration [love] for a deity.

So in short it means love.

But how do we love God?

If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- John 14:15 (KJV)

Jesus said this, so obviously it's important.

Note that this verse about worshiping points back to the Ten Commandments.

The definition of worship (reverence and adoration) can be found in the Bible almost verbatim.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God [reverence], and keep his commandments [adoration]: for this is the whole duty of man.
- Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)

The book of Revelation also points to the Ten Commandments.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
- Revelation 12:17 (KJV)

And:

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
- Revelation 14:12 (KJV)

And:

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
- Revelation 22:14 (KJV)

Three times (!!) it mentions the Ten Commandments. The book of Revelation was specifically written for the last days, so this is clearly very important.

God wants us to keep the Ten Commandments no matter what.

It's a test.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
- Revelation 3:10 (KJV)

When it comes down to "Who do you worship?" there is of course only one other contender and that's satan. He's got his own counterfeit "commandments", and he wants you to worship him.

When it comes to worshiping there is only one Commandment that stands out, and that's the Sabbath Commandment.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
- Exodus 20:8-11

The Sabbath Day (blessed and hallowed) is a set day for worshiping and fellow shipping. Sabbath is kept from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset (the seventh day). It is sometimes also referred to as the Seal of God.

The link between worship, and the Sabbath Commandment can also be found in the first angel's message.

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
- Revelation 14:7 (KJV)

The phrase "heaven, and earth, and the sea" is also found in the Sabbath Commandment (see above).

If satan wants people to worship him he would need to change the Sabbath Commandment, and replace it with something else. Satan's day (his mark if you will) is better known as the 'Holy' Day (Sunday). The change from Sabbath to Sunday was made in 321 AD.

Now you might say that it's just a day!! Right?!?

But please understand that to God it's not just a day. God is waiting for you on the Sabbath Day, and not on any other day. Remember that it was God's own finger that wrote the Ten Commandments in stone.

The Ten Commandments are kept in the Ark of the Covenant.

The Ark of the Covenant was kept in the Most Holy Place of the tabernacle.

Eventually the Ark of the Covenant was transferred to the temple in Jerusalem.

The true tabernacle is in heaven.

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
- Hebrews 8:1-2 (KJV)

The Ten Commandments are at the very heart of both the tabernacle, and the temple.

We will be judged by the Ten Commandments.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament [covenant]: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
- Revelation 11:18-19 (KJV)

Breaking the Sabbath Commandment means you are guilty of breaking all of the Law.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
- James 2:10 (KJV)

The change from Sabbath to Sunday was prophesied.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
- Daniel 7:25 (KJV)

This also clearly points the finger at who the antichrist is.

Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [from Sabbath to Sunday] was her act. And the act is the mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.
- Faith of Our Fathers, p. 14 C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons

As the sign of the authority of the Catholic Church, papist writers cite "the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday."... What then is the change of the Sabbath, but the sign, or mark, of the authority of the Roman Church-"the mark of the beast"?
- Ellen White, The Faith I Live By, p. 286

Shocked?!?

No need be. The Roman Catholic Church are the ones behind the Dark Ages (more than 50 million Christians killed), they worked together with Hitler during World War II, and they're also the driving force behind the New World Order (which comes with its own Sunday law that will be enforced).

Satan will use what is known as the "Sunday law" (with death decree) to force you to worship him.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak [legislate], and cause [enforce] that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
- Revelation 13:15 (KJV)

You can't make this stuff up.

When all is said and done, you will either:

  • Worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters
  • Worship the beast and his image

The mark of the beast = knowingly keeping Sunday instead of Sabbath.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
- Hebrews 10:26-27 (KJV)

You either live with God in obedience (Sabbath), or you will die with satan in rebellion (Sunday).

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
- Romans 6:!6

When I think about the test that God will put before us, I think of Daniel's friends that chose the furnace over bowing down to false gods.

I pray that you choose the Sabbath over the Mark.
