For Granted

I think that sometimes we take life for granted.

When I examine all the individual building blocks, I'm always amazed, and thankful that God created my life.

Building blocks

Atoms come in all sorts. There are approximately 10^78 to 10^80 atoms in this Universe.

There are approximately 7 * 10^27 atoms in your body. Every time you move, you move that many atoms around.

Molecules are atoms hold together by chemical bonds.

Building blocks of life

Imagine molecules randomly coming together to form a cell. That's impossible. Here is the clear thumbprint of the Creator.

There are approximately 10^14 cells in your body.

Cells are complex units that can replicate themselves.

The most amazing thing about cells, must truly be DNA. It contains a complete blueprint of what an organism should look like (eyes, ears, brain, etc). It's truly amazing how human life can start in an egg, which then reproduces itself until it's fully grown. Wow!

Flagellum

One of the bacteria that stands out the most must be the Flagellum. It has a "propeller" and a "motor" to go with it. It has a "neutral" and a "in gear" mode. The "motor" is made out of 40 different kind of proteins.

This is the outside. The twirling tail works like a propeller.

Here's a detailed look at the "motor".

If that's not Intelligent Design (irreducible complexity), then I don't know what is.

Here's a YouTube video about the Flagellum, if you're interested.

Amazing structures

Sometimes these amazing structures pop up, where they weren't expected, e.g. snowflakes for example.

Check out these pollen.

How about neurons, all firing together just to make thoughts happen, etc.

The Creator is expressing Himself (a painting reveals the painter, the creation reveals the Creator).

Plants and animals

The diversity of plants and animals on this planet is just awesome.

Planets

With all that's going on Earth, if you compare it to the Universe, we're just a tiny speck!!

Many stars.

Many galaxies.

Miracle of life

Our Creator sees life as a miracle.

Conclusion

Life in our Universe is no accident. Where chaos was to be expected, there is order. Life in this Universe was designed.

God created this Universe, and sustains it. For this to happen, God must truly dwell in the infinite. A concept which is hard to grasp, but can be easily appreciated.
