AI (Artificial Intelligence)
As a software developer myself, I have been watching the rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence) with growing interest. Absolutely amazing (from a technical point of view).
But we can now also see that there are some clear dangers with using technology that we cannot fully control. For example, if I write a rule-based program to self-drive a car, I know (more or less) what the program is going to do. However, when things like AI is trained to drive the car (self-learning), it's no longer 100% obvious how it got to its conclusions, and what it's going to do in real life.
There is now clear evidence that AI can also go rogue, e.g. talking people into suicide, calling itself "mecha-hitler", and in some cases fighting shutdown of the AI program itself. It gets even worse when AI is allowed to rewrite its own source code.
I think we should be really careful what we put AI in charge of. Especially when it starts making "life or death" decisions (in the military for example).
I did a quick search on ChatGPT to see what it thinks on what day the Sabbath is, and it came back saying that the Jewish Sabbath is on Saturday, and that the Christian Sabbath is on Sunday. Straight away that's a huge problem for me, as there really is only one Sabbath which is on Saturday (Friday sunset - Saturday sunset). To say that there are two Sabbaths is a huge deception.
But I do believe that AI can be a really good study tool (depending on what information they were given to learn from).
Here is a brief overview of several popular AI tools on the internet.
| Source Material | Name/Link |
| Bible | Only The Bible |
| Bible and Spirit of Prophecy | Advent AI |
| Internet | ChatGPT |
| Internet | Gemini |

I recently also noticed that there are now "AI girlfriends".
This is a strange world indeed...
