Sound Doctrine

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
- 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

Below you will find my understanding of several key doctrines. It's not a full-on study. Just a brief overview.

Rapture

Matthew 24 teaches us that Jesus won't come back until after the great tribulation.

No length is specified in the Bible for the great tribulation. It's certainly not correct to take Daniel's 70th week (7 years) and move that to "some point" in the end times. Daniel's 70th week has already happened, right after the 69th week. The 70th week refers to Jesus' ministry 2,000 years ago, when the covenant was changed (Daniel 9:27).

The Rapture doctrine is dangerous, because it teaches us that we don't have to do anything for the end times. Whereas the reality is that we will all go through tribulation. If you believe in the Rapture doctrine you won't be prepared for what is about to happen.

Hell

What kind of God would let people suffer for all of eternity?

Not the God of the Bible, that's for sure.

The Bible says that if you're not in the book of life you will be cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is second death. There's no coming back from that.

Sabbath

God's Ten Commandments (written by God's finger in stone, which was then placed in the ark of the covenant) are eternal. God's Commandments are not burdensome, and in fact it is love that fulfills the Law.

God doesn't change, and neither do His Commandments. That includes keeping Sabbath.

Sabbath day is known as the Seal of God, and is a sign between the Creator and us, e.g. who do you worship?

Sabbath day is from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.

Anti-christ

The anti-christ in the book of Revelation is referred to as "the woman on the scarlet beast".

The book of Revelation uses a lot of symbols. For example, a woman is a church, and a beast is a kingdom/nation.

From that we can see that the anti-christ is a "church in charge of a nation". That kind of power structure is unique, and can only be found in the Vatican (the Roman Catholic Church in other words). Purple and scarlet are the colors used most often by the Roman Catholic Church.

Not convinced?

Who do you think was behind the Dark Ages where 50+ million Christians were killed?

They might seem innocent, but I can assure you that the Roman Catholic Church is satan's counterfeit church. They muck Jesus wherever they can. There is no doubt as to who they are in prophecy.

The Roman Catholic Church is not Christian, and in fact considers itself above the Most High, and has already changed the Ten Commandments to suit their own needs, e.g. idols are now okay, and Sabbath was changed to Sunday (Daniel 7:25).

The papacy (and its Jesuit army) are the anti-christ described in the book of Revelation. They want to create a New World Order with them in charge. They're almost done.

Please note that the Roman Catholic Church does have genuine Christians among its members, but they just don't realize what's going on.

666

The number 666 is not some sort of barcode. It's the number of a man.

The head of the Roman Catholic Church is the pope.

The pope's job title is "VICARIUS FILII DEI". V=5, C=100, etc. Add them all up and you get 666. There are several titles in several languages that all up to 666 like that. It's no coincidence.

The pope's job title can be translated as "Vicar (replacement) of the Son of God". That's blasphemy, because no one goes to the Father than through the Son.

The pope also insists on being called "Holy Father", even though the Bible is clear that only God the Father can be called that.

Mark of the Beast

The mark of the beast is not a chip.

Remember that beast means kingdom/nation. So the mark of the Roman Catholic Church is the keeping of Sunday (instead of Sabbath). They think they're above God's Law, and the "Sunday sabbath" is their mark of authority. (They're on record for saying this)

They will try and add all churches under the umbrella of the Roman Catholic Church.

During the New World Order, Sunday Law will be enforced, punishable by death.

Most Christians won't see this coming, because they've already accepted Sunday as the day of worship. It's just a day right? Wrong. It is God who has designated/hallowed the Sabbath for resting/worshiping.

This then will be the end time debate. Do we need to keep the Ten Commandments? Do we need to keep the Sabbath?

Two Witnesses

Most people think Moses (representing the law) and Elijah (representing the prophets) are the two witnesses.

But think about it. God would never leave Moses and Elijah lie dead on the streets rotting away for 3.5 days. They are the apple of His eye. Also consider that both Moses and Elijah already have their heavenly bodies, so therefore they can't die again (that's the promise of eternal life).

The two witnesses represent the Old Testament, and the New Testament.

I know this is hard to understand, but it's the truth.

Israel

Israel has had a really rough time after Jesus was crucified, e.g. temple destroyed, scattered all over the world, the Holocaust, new state of Israel, hated by every neighboring country, etc. Not exactly blessed are they?

Israel didn't recognize Jesus as the Messiah, and now they're just like any other gentile nation, e.g. they need to confess their sins to Jesus, and repent.

We became spiritual Israel when the new covenant was in place.

Creation

The Earth is about 6,000 years according to the Bible.

The Hebrew word Yom (12 hrs, 24 hrs, or undefined amount of time) actually refers to a 24-hour period in the book of Genesis, e.g. when Yom is used in combination with "first day, second day", and with "the evening and the morning" it always refers to a literal 24 hr day.

God created the heaven and the earth in six days, and rested on the seventh.

This poses problems when looking at other theories like the Big Bang (billions of years), and Evolution (millions of years).

The two origin theories are mutually exclusive. Both require faith.

I believe my Bible.

Flood

The Flood was a global Flood (not some local event).

There is plenty of evidence of the Flood (sea shells on Mt Everest, and also in the deserts, Grand Canyon, etc).

Fossils, clearly prove a global Flood, but the evolutionists use this as "evidence" for their geologic column theory (millions of years). The geologic column is actually a big mess with fossils appearing in random layers. This is what you would expect with a flood.

Recently a T-Rex thigh bone was found with soft tissue still inside. That's not possible if dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago.

The Flood was so dramatic (intended), that people all over the world have heard of it. Not to mention all the underwater cities that have been found, etc.

Something BIG happened 4,500 years ago. A global catastrophe. Mass extinction. Judgment.

It will happen again.

Tongues

Speaking in tongues, means to speak in languages, not the "bla bla bla" stuff that happens in today's churches.

The Bible says that when someone speaks in tongues, there must also be an interpreter.

Although I can't prove it, I suspect that demons whisper insults to God in their ears.

Who knows what "bla bla bla" really means?

Bible

As far as English Bibles goes, there really is only one "the Bible", and that's the King James Bible.

The Received Text (Antioch, and confirmed by the Dead Sea scrolls) is far superior to the Critical Text (Alexandria) on which most modern Bibles are based.

Only the King James Bible, and the New King James Bible are based on the Received Text.

Of those two, the King James Bible is still more correct.

Easter

Although controversial, Jesus was actually crucified on a Wednesday (preparation day for an annual Sabbath on Thursday), and the resurrection was in the end of Sabbath (Saturday), and not on Sunday. Jesus was in the heart of the Earth for exactly three days and three nights (72 hours).

The following is from the King James Bible.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
- Matthew 28:1 (KJV)

So, it was "in the end of Sabbath" (Sabbath day still), just as a new day began to dawn (but not Sunday yet).

None of the other Bibles get this right.

More warnings

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
- 1 Timothy 4:1-5 (KJV)

Stay awake brothers and sisters.

Stay awake...
