Lord and Saviour
It only occurred to me recently that Jesus needs to be both Lord and Saviour.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Jesus as Lord in our lives means we must obey Him.
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

And what does Jesus say to us?
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A life long of repentance (obeying God's Laws) will prepare us for heaven.
